SPIAC-B Working Group on Linking Humanitarian (Cash) Assistance and Social Protection
The webinar aimed to explore the potential of national response plans as a common framework to efficiently allocate resources in a harmonized and timely manner to save lives. It specifically focused on enhancing coordination between humanitarian and development actors in delivering cash and social protection. The main objective was to discuss how urgent population needs can be addressed coherently and collaboratively. The webinar showcased cases from Madagascar and Niger, highlighting the role of national response plans, coherent design packages, and coordinated follow-up and reporting tools in improving the coherence of humanitarian and development assistance.
