2 April 2020

World Bank Group, PEI, SPEC

The Sahel’s adaptive social protection systems consist of policies and programs to help poor and vulnerable households build resilience, reduce the impact of climate change and other shocks, and foster access to income-earning opportunities. The programme is underpinned by a multi-country randomised control trial to evaluate the impacts of these interventions among safety nets beneficiaries.

This webinar examined the design rationale, steps taken in delivering the programmes, and early insights and lessons learned on designing and implementing economic inclusion approaches through national safety net systems.

Panellist: Thomas Bossuroy, Senior Economist, World Bank

Discussant: Yéréfolo Mallé, Regional Representative, West Africa, Trickle Up

Moderator: Colin Andrews, Program Manager, PEI, World Bank
