To provide a platform for an engaging conversation between African Governments, civil society organizations, and people affected by COVID-19 on how to address critical social protection gaps and progress towards inclusive and rights-based social protection, this webinar is part of a three sessions virtual dialogue that will revolve around the VOICES of affected populations, the ACTIONS of Governments to expand social protection during COVID-19, and Africa’s VISIONS for social protection as part of an inclusive recovery.

In this second episode of the African Dialogue on COVID-19 and the Future of Social Protection series, was exposed the state of social protection in Africa and social protection responses to the COVID-19 crises from governments across the continent. In an engaging conversation, governments brought the actions they have taken to expand social protection to various population groups during the crisis and what lessons they will take forward and answered questions directly from participants.
