The webinar discussed a report that revealed datasets on work, family and social protection, to assess the extent to which the elderly can rely on these three key sources of income, using five countries as case studies: Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. It focused on the contribution of new tax-financed social pension schemes, which have become increasingly common across the Asian region.
