This webinar aimed to discuss how different groups of informal and self-employed workers are being impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Moreover, the distinct social protection responses to these groups were discussed, including their main challenges, such as the identification of beneficiaries and payment modalities for cash transfers. Finally, panellists presented examples of how coalitions of informal workers are being involved in the discussions about the extension of social protection.
