Considering the significant challenges and in light of recent social protection reforms that have taken place in MENA countries, this webinar presented the study Building shock-responsive national social protection systems in the MENA Region, which aims to provide an initial general assessment of opportunities and challenges for shock-responsive social protection in the region. The webinar also featured presentations by Sara Beysolow Nyanti, on the current implementation of the Emergency Cash Transfer Programme in Yemen, and by Manuel Rodriguez Pumarol, on the case of Jordan and the challenges around the harmonisation of support for nationals and refugees.
